-The B.I.G-

The B. I .G which of course do not stand for BIG but it actually camp Bina Insan Guru, whereby it is a 4 days 3 nights camp and is compulsory for all Teacher Trainees. Being in the shoes of hating to go for the camp was a very terrible feeling indeed. What more, thinking that you have to sleep with bugs and sand around you and not knowing what might bite you anytime of the day! But.. I survived! To actually come into reality and believe the fact that I am safe without any single scratch on my body, is kind of unbelievable!

So, obviously that was one of the reason i kind of enjoyed the camp! It was not as bad as i thought actually. Except for the fact that, i have to sleep on nothing but a bed on hard rocks which is not at all comfortable but hurting every bone in your body! Anyway, there is no use of grumbling about it here, as everyone slept on the very same 'so called rock bed'. Whatever it was, I became too tired by the end of the day, and I just wanted to take a rest and sleep, no matter on what surface I was on! So, that was kind of an advantage for us. Sleeping in the camp is not that bad after all. Hahaha! *its supose to be a joke ok* Or maybe on a brighter side, it was like a free massage bed for all of us!

Hmm.. The activities we went through, were all very much fun, except for the canoeing! Canoeing was my very first activity and even though in the first thought i was very excited for it but when i was actually in the canoe and canoeing for 7km was out of my capability! Gosh just imagine me! With stamina as low as ermmm.. i better not say it, you fill in the blanks.. ME!! Canoeing for that far and the worst part was under the burning hot sun! Argh! That was really like living hell. My eyes was watery, i was not crying but the tears just flows down. The heat was unbearable. By the end of the journey, i had no energy to even carry myself up! I just dropped on the beach! It took me several minutes to finally get myself back up and get some food to eat.

One activity I enjoyed the most was the jungle trekking. Jungle trekking had been one of my favorite activity since young. What more, with one of my aim to climb mount Kinabalu! So, jungle trekking was very fun and enjoying. We started our trekking after breakfast, which was around 9am and walked and walked, passing the paya bakau, the beach side, climbing steep mountains and the best was coming down steep slopes. This really challenges our mind and capability to make simple and quick decisions to which step to take and how we help ourselves and at the same time help our friends to get down the slope safely. By noon, we stopped by at an area to cook with nothing given but a pack of Maggie, sardin bread. This was rather challenging, as we have to make our own fine and search for stuff to burn and make fire. Believe it or not, we managed. I was very surprised to see fire emerging in our very first attempt. Lucky huh! So, after lunch we continued our journey to tapak hang tuah, kelopak air mineral, telaga mineral and to the light house. As soon as i reached the bus, i practically slept no matter how noisy it was! Just imagine how tired would i be! Seriously, it was!

The activities we went though was very little but very challenging indeed in terms of mental, physical and spiritual. I was a vegetarian throughout the 4 days. As you know, being the only vegetarian in 54 of us was very challenging. My only friend whom i though would be a vegetarian with me, left me in the nick of time and became a non! Very disappointing right! Anyway, what to do! Its their choice and I got no right to say anything. Coming back to the point here. I always belif, GOD will never let you down. If you put full faith on him, he will send someone to guide you and help you thoughout the journey. Just life that he had sent me wonderful friends who had been a great help for me and cared so much about what i was eating, whether or not I was having anything or do I need anything. The best part was they even cooked and separated my meals. How lucky am i to have such wonderful friends right. So, being a vegetarian was not so bad after all. Just a bit of determination and strong hearted and everything will be taken care off.

So, I guess that it about my short, bitter yet sweet camp! Have a nice day readers..
