-after exam moodiness-

As usual, the exam period is the most devastating time you can ever go through! Its like, you can do nothing. No appetite to eat, can't sleep, if at all you sleep all you have is nightmares about exams* What can be much worst than this.

Anyway, that is not what I wanted to talk about today!

It was my first paper today and obviously I survived but to tell you the truth it was a hell of a tough paper! For heaven's sake! The book is like fully loaded with facts and the ones came out for exam is like less than 1/4 from the whole book! Dam! Why we have to read so many stuff! And worst of all half of them are pure nonsense. Talking about some tokoh-tokoh which is like so useless. Aminudin Baki or some name i don't even know what until now. What is the use of learning their contributions and stuff? What good does that bring for us? That's one!

Next, the education system itself had designed a curriculum that transforms from memorizing and examination oriented education to creativity and analytical thinking but here we are in the teacher training college which still focuses on exams and memorizing facts! What the hell? What is the use of coming up with all these stuff?

Don't have to waste time right if you all are still going to stick with exam oriented education! We should be the role model. We have to be the starters to create an awareness in everyone on the importance of education, not just mere facts and information loaded in our head and just to be vomited out on the paper in the examination hall. This have to go beyond! Education have to be the agent of change! Education have to be developed and create thinking students who interpret every information. Who seeks for knowledge which are useful for their life.

Myself, I am in the stage where I am no more memorizing! I do but I don't want to! I would like to understand the reasons behind every facts given to us. Say for instance, the education system before and during the British colonial system. This is very interesting topic if we stop memorizing but rather understand and interpret every information here. Why malays, chinese and indians are divided? Why chinese community fund their own schools? Why indians are not into education? Try to seek answers for all these questions and at the same time compare with the education system now? How is it? How much difference or changes had been made? Ask yourself, why this, why that. That's how we create creative thinking and analytical students. But now, if we see many students if given history book, they memorize every single page right for page one till the last page. Thar is not how it should work.

This is my aim! I am a teacher later on and for sure I am not going to encourage my students to memorize! Understand the question, the fact, the information and create the linkage! That is the right way to study!
