Before we start off lets us maintain a moment of silence to thank god for this thing called energy..

OK! So, that's what I am here today! It's really true what people say, we tend to appreciate energy more when we have black outs and power cut during the time we need to use the electricity the most! That is what happened to me last night.
As usual, Reavarthy, also called Leparthy (Leopard with a T) hahah! *sorry reva, Im pretty sure you will read this*! :p Ok back to the story, where was I again. Oh right.. Leparthy came to my room to hmm do some stuff. I guess it was to do with the favourite subject (Numerical Literacy). So after she was done with it, she left, and as usual I followed her, to send her until down my block. I left her, came up again and as soon as I left the lift and entered the room * Taaaappppp* the electricity went off! I was like DAMMM!!! Expecting it to returned in like about 5 minutes, I just stayed there hoping for any sign of the return of the electricity. BUT sadly no! huhu~ ! hour passed, still no sign.. 2 hours... 3 hours... 4 hours.. It was morning and my alarm rang at 7am and still there in no current! The worst part no hot water!!!! But don't worry, I still took shower ok! In super cold water of course!!! Eeeee...
So, that was happened and yeah if you are wondering if the current did return, yeahh it did but only in the morning when I was out for my classes. :) But thank god it returned! :)
One night without electricity was really an experience! I coudn't sleep well last night and I was thinking about how imortant electricity to our life and how we humans waste so much of energy! Its very disappointing at times. I don't have to go far, one simple example in hostel situation itself. How many of you swticch off all the lights and fan before you go to bed. No matter in the hall or balcony or whatever knot. I do! I can proudly say my house do switch off and I am very proud to say this! But I see most of the houses don't. Is it so hard to switch off all the lights before you go to bed, if you think you are the last one to go to bed, just take a walk round your house and switch off all the plugs and lights. This can save so much of energy! Now i seriously wonder how much energy we would have saved last night alone.. :)
The earth is dieing bit by bit because of all our wrongdoing and people are still under the blanket not knowing about the importance of energy, water, and so forth. Many non governmental organizations have come up with abundance of programmes and projects to create the awareness in the younger generations of today on the importance of all these but I wonder if it really creates an impact in them.
The college is the best place to begin this. Why don't our campus totally say no to polystyrene or maybe to discourage the students from taking the polystyrene, charge them. Not just 20sens, but maybe 50sens or Rm1. I am sure this will decrease the usage of polystyrene in our campus! Encourage students to reduce, reuse and recycle. Provide the three recycling bins under every block, I am sure this will be a start for the students to begin with something. This would be a great start for our campus. Something simple yet very much helpful for our mother earth.
Just one night I had to sleep without fan running above my head and I learned so much. This is like an indirect wake up call for me. I am going to use lesser electricity from now on.
P/S : I always leave my charger in the power socket after using it. It seems this is also a mean of wasting electricity. So, I pledge from today onwards I am going to unplug all the appliances from the socket after using it. :)
So.. Yeah! That's all from me now.. To all ipbarians who are reading this post.. Please save energy! :)
