-temple hoping-

yeah! Last Saturday, my Sai centre organized such an incredible program which we named it as the Interfaith Amazing hunt. This is actually an event to visit all the houses of GODS and to make it an interesting and memorable event, we made it in a way like it is a hunt. All the participants are divided into 5 in a group and at every temple they are given a set of questions on the particular religion to answer. Say for instance, we are at the church and the participants are given a set of questions on Christianity to be answered. Marks are given and the groups with the highest points are given hanpers! :) Fun right? Totally! It was super awesome. Unfortunately I was one of the organizing committee and I couldn't participate in the hunt!

The best part of this event is, I went to temples where I have never visited before. All the temples are just about 10-15minutes away from my house but I never got the chance to visit them. So, I am proud to say that I am lucky to get this opportunity to visit all the houses of god.

Our first visit was to the shiridi temple, here we was given a wonderful talk which had boost our spirit early in the morning! One thing I will always remember! Say you are a sai devotee only when you follow all the values preached by Swami! if not just go to sai centre and come back home quietly! Seriously its 100% true! I heard many people say they are sai devotee but at the end of the day, I see no good values! Its just a shame to say you are his child! Thank you Uncle Kanan for giving such an inspiring talk about Shiridi Sai.

Our next visit was to the Chetti temple. Seriously its been ages since I last stepped my foot to this temple. Beautiful temple but the only thing is that, I hardly understood a word uttered by the priest, it was too deep tamil and me stood there with such a blur face. In fact, as a Hindu im ashamed to say I know very less about hinduism myself. The two epic of hinduism, ramayana yes I know! But mahabaratha! GOD! Its such a complicating story whereby everytime I take the book to read I end up sleeping! Thanks to my mother, I know a little about it. Seriously, almost all the groups suffered answering the questions on hinduism.

After the temple was our church visit! It was bliss! Believe me! It really was! The St. Banarbas anglican church in Klang! From the outside it looks like an old church but in the inside, it was beautiful! So beautiful that I got speechless looking at the church and the altar! The granny who was soooo nice to allowed to visit the church despite informing the church one day before the event. She was so adorable cute granny! She explained about the birth and death of Jeses Christ and gave us so much of information on Christianity. The questions for Christianity was also tough, many I didn't know. But at the end of the day we learned That is the most important thing right?

Next, we went to the gurudwara, the sikh temple. They were so awesomely nice. Imagine, they prepared such delicious food specially for us! Amazing hospitality! The head of the temple himself came over to give us an insight about sikhism and educated us on all the do's and the don't and the 5 K's and etc etc! It was great experience.

The Kuan Yin temple! Many got confused between Kuan Yin and Taoism and this was the platform to make ourselves clear. Taoism is a totally different religion. Kuan Yin god falls under buddhism itself and this is something which many of us got really confused. This temple is 100 over years old and it was wonderful. The architecture was splendid! I have never seen such a beautiful temple before in my life. Amazingly beautiful! :)

last spot of our day was the Jenjarum buddhist temple. By the time we arrived here, I was half to the ground! It was tiring! Walking all day long! But the warm welcome we recieved in buddhist temple just touched my heart. They took us to the main building with such beutiful smiles on their faces and we was given a short briefing on the life cycle of buddha and was taught on the correct way to offer prayers to buddha! it was an experience. They even took us around the whole temple. This was such a huge temple and I thinking its one of the biggest buddhist temple in Malaysia. The most memorable part was, they waited for us until we leave the temple. This is something we never see.

So, All in all. I really enjoyed this 12 hours event where we are filled with spirituality and learning about all the other religion in the world is so much fun! :) Thank you swami for giving me this opportunity. :)

Love you swami. :)
