Well, I did say in my earlier post that this year was a year I shall always remember as a year for new relationship with my old friends. And yes, I do stress on the same point but my 2 weeks back home now, had been really a splendid one. I had been fully occupied in my house, except the first two days of my holidays, I was invited for a dance shooting for TV 2. After that two days, I had been staying home and seriously this is the time I actually bonded with my family too.
We did so many stuff together, which includes cleaning the house, especially the junk stuff and loads of unwanted stuff stored almost every corner. It is said that if we don't use something for more than 3 months we should throw it way. So, today we went to a nearby recycling center. Well, it was really huge center by the Tzu-Chi organization. So, we sent all our unwanted stuff there. Done, one work.
Yesterday and day before yesterday, my dad, brother and myself painted one section of the wall in my house. I feel so good about it. Previously the colour we painted was so dark and made my whole hall very dark even in the morning, so with our new colour it feels so refreshing thou my mom don't really like it. :p
Oh ya, we did another thing today! Well, just like in the movies, when you clean stuff and suddenly you find something old and full of memories and that stuff is full of dust. That's how is experienced today. All of a sudden I found a bag fully covered with dust! (Clearly shows how many years we did not touch it)! And what is inside you may wonder.. It's our PS 2! Well, its very old, 5 years now. But it brings about really good memories, my brothers and I used to play it every night and that had been one of the source of happiness. Since I went to college and my brothers in exams years. We had not been playing together and doing stuff together. So, what I did.. I brought the PS 2 down, fixed it to my main tv in the hall and called my brother to play with me! OMG, it was really really nice to play that stuff after a looooongg time! To my surprise my dad joined in. Thou he didn't know a thing on how to play, and well, he was losing the car racing game terribly! He played and finally gave up. But the point here is the family bonding. People say all this games spoil children. But i say, these are the little-little things that had brought my family together. Playing PS2, chess, dam, sahiba, saidina. had always been in our family for many years but since we are all grown up, we seldom or never touch it. So, holidays are the time to relive those memories. Simple games brings alot more fun and happiness in family.
My brother is sitting for his final SPM paper today! I am soo excited! Excited with the fact that my whole family can play together now! :)
So, people bring out the classic games and play with your family! :)
