-yee Sang dinner-

One thing I really love to do is to experience the culture of other races. I don't know why but looking at other races and how their belief and culture differ from mine really fascinates me.

This time around I am lucky to experience something new in life. 

My cousin with the gigantic chopstick

I heard of Yee Sang for a very long time but never got the chance to actually experience it until today. One of my favorite cousins came over to my house today for Cap Goh Mei. Well, talking about my family, I come from a family where we have gatherings for every single festival. No matter its Hari Raya, CNY, Christmas or Deepavali. Every celebration is like our own and we have cakes, pot luck dinner, dancing, singing and stuff.

This time around, it was for Cap Goh Mei. So, we went for a vegetarian restaurant for a Yee Sang dinner. My uncle ordered and we were given a gigantic chopstick. Seriously, this is the first time I am looking at such big chopstick. I was thinking we will use that to eat until my uncle told, that just to mix the food not to eat! The giant Yee Sang plate came and we mixed it together!

The taste, Omg! It was simply explicit! Superb! Loved it so much and it was bliss. I have never tasted anything like it before. As far as I understand, this dish consists of all the taste, which of course relates back to our life. Whereby, our life is full of different feelings and emotions. Thus, just like Yee Sang dish, we should always have a balance of emotions. Not too be very happy or very sad at a time. Our feelings should always be balanced and controlled. Well, this is from what I understand. I might be wrong here. Please enlighten me if I am wrong ! :)
